Sound Dampening
Rapid encroachment of the metallic pole faces also makes
solenoid valves noisy for some applications. Sometimes
these sounds serve as a means of feedback, verifying to
the user that the valve has responded to an input command.
Insertion of the tubing eliminates much of the noise accompanying
closure, as the plunger first must compress the tubing
before encountering its mechanical limit.
Acro offers options
for noise sensitive applications. To minimize noise associated
with opening, we can employ a dampening pad between the
contacting surfaces or a motion-dampening dashpot, which
quiets a valve by slowing it down.
