Overview

Acro specializes in the design and manufacturing of solenoid and pneumatically-operated pinch valves.

While we offer a variety of stock items, much of our business centers on tailoring existing products or designing new ones for unique applications. Our design and manufacturing capabilities also frequently extend to fluid control systems and sub-systems.

Incorporated into our pinch valves, as either standard or optional equipment, are features that we have found valuable to our customers over our 25+ years in business.

Pneumatic Pinch Valves

Model #
Tubing Range-O.D.
932* 0.125” (3.2mm) 0.250” (6.4mm)
933* 0.250” (6.4mm) 0.375” (9.5mm)
934* 0.500” (12.7mm) 0.750” (19.1mm)

Solenoid Pinch Valves

Model #
Tubing Range-O.D.
951* 0.125” (3.2mm) 0.250” (6.4mm)
955* 0.125” (3.2mm) 0.187” (4.7mm)
958* 0.250” (6.4mm) 0.375” (9.5mm)

Features

Solenoid Pinch Valves

  • Snap-in Tube Loading allows tubing to be installed in the valve without requiring a free end; the middle of the tubing “snaps in” the valve body.

  • Override button allows for manual valve actuation for tube loading.

  • Splash Seals include an internal plunger seal and external mounting seal. They guard against spills and debris, prevents contaminants from entering the valve, and allow for cleaning without disassembly.

  • Panel Mounting allows for mounting in any position and provides for flexibility in meeting your system design requirements.

  • Valves calibrated for each application to optimize performance.

  • Strong pinching forces capable of handling a variety of flexible tubing materials.

  • Accommodates flexible tubing sizes to 0.375” (9.5mm) OD and hardness to 60-Shore A durometer (higher tubing specifications may also be possible dependent upon the application).

  • Simple, reliable design with a million+ cycle life span.

  • Fast response time.

  • No wetted parts (except tubing).

  • Zero dead volume.

  • Pulse and Hold control option enhances valve performance while minimizing power consumption and heat generation. (This option is required for hard to pinch tubing materials and heat sensitive applications.)

  • Position Sensing option supplies electronic feedback on a valve’s position or state and confirms that a valve is in the state dictated by a control input.

  • Sound Dampening option for noise reduction.

  • Panel or Base Mounting allows for mounting in any position and provides for flexibility in meeting your system design requirements.

  • Valves calibrated for each application to optimize performance.

  • Strong pinching forces capable of handling a variety of flexible tubing materials.

  • Accommodates flexible tubing sizes to 0.750” (19.1mm) OD and hardness to 70-Shore A durometer (higher tubing specifications may also be possible dependent upon the application).

  • Smooth and quiet actuation with no heat generation in the actuated state.

  • Simple, reliable design with a million+ cycle life span.

  • No wetted parts (except tubing).

  • Zero dead volume

How To Specify A Pinch valve

Our standard pinch valves can usually be tailored to meet the needs of most applications. Nearly all aspects of their designs may be altered.
