Pneumatic Pinch Valves Print this page

Valve Models

Our pneumatic pinch valves are designed to work with flexible tubing, where easy replacement of the entire fluid path is required. These valves are robustly designed making them suitable for pressure or vacuum services.

General Specifications

  • Dual acting, pneumatically-actuated pinch valve, available for either normally-opened (N/O) or normally-closed (N/C) operation.
  • Capable of pinching flexible tubing sized from 0.125" (3.2 mm) to 1.0" (25.4 mm) OD.
  • Accommodate a tubing hardness of <70 Durometer (Shore A). Higher tubing specifications may also be possible dependent upon the application.

Standard Models & Specifications

Contact Acro’s engineers if your tubing specifications exceed those stated below to discuss tailoring a valve to your requirements. Select a link to the model of interest to access product literature and engineering drawings.

*When the valve is in a de-energized state, normally-opened (N/O) tubing is not pinched; normally-closed (N/C) tubing is pinched and the flow stopped

Requirements

Source of compressed air or gas for power: clean, lubricated air is most common but any inert gas will serve as the power required to actuate the valve. Minimum operating pressure is determined by the stiffness of the tubing, media pressure, and desired response time; typically, at least 30–60 psig (2–4 bars) is required (model dependent). Maximum supply pressure is limited to 125 psig (8.6 bars).

Three-way control valve: controls the operating pressure (gas/air)May be either manually or electrically operated.  Acro can supply the three-way control valve or the customer may source themselves.
