*When the valve is in a de-energized
state, normally-opened (N/O) tubing
is not pinched; normally-closed (N/C)
tubing is pinched and
the flow stopped
Requirements
Source
of compressed air or gas for power:
clean, lubricated air is most common but
any inert gas will serve as the power
required to actuate the valve. Minimum
operating pressure is determined by the
stiffness of the tubing, media pressure,
and desired response time; typically,
at least 30–60
psig (2–4 bars) is required (model
dependent). Maximum supply pressure is
limited to 125 psig (8.6 bars).
Three-way control valve:
controls the operating pressure (gas/air). May
be either manually or electrically operated. Acro
can supply the three-way control valve or
the customer may source themselves.
