Key
Benefits |
Fast actuation time: ability
to change states rapidly (fast response time).
Typically, to translate fully in either direction,
approximately 30 ms is required.
|
Reliability and long life: simple,
elegant designs that remain flexible for calibration
and customization.

Functionality |
- Designed to work with flexible tubing, where
easy replacement of the entire fluid path is
required.
- Use a current passing through a solenoid to
induce a magnetic field, which then supplies
force to a magnetic plunger.
- Pinching functionality is achieved by integrating
an actuator and a pinching mechanism into a
single unit.
|
- A spring typically supplies the force required
to pinch the tubing, stopping media flow.
- The pinching mechanism captures the tubing
and provides a fixed pinching surface; the solenoid
actuator generates a linear force that overcomes
the pinching spring to allow media flow through
the tubing.
